Randy Burton is a Southwest Colorado real estate broker serving Durango, Bayfield, and surrounding La Plata County communities, with a focus on residential homes, acreage properties, farms, and ranches.
After more than 30 years living in the area, Randy brings clients a practical understanding of the local market that goes beyond listings and price trends. His approach is straightforward, patient, and pressure-free, helping buyers and sellers navigate everything from neighborhood fit and rural property considerations to market timing, taxes, HOAs, wells, septic systems, and long-term property value.
Before real estate, Randy spent many years in broadcasting with KABC in Los Angeles and later with iHeartRadio in Farmington/Durango. That background shaped the communication style clients often appreciate most: calm guidance, clear explanations, and responsiveness throughout the process.
Randy works with a wide range of clients, from first-time buyers to longtime local residents, but especially enjoys helping people understand the realities of living and owning property in Southwest Colorado. His goal is never to "sell" people on an area or a property. It's to help them make informed decisions with confidence.
Outside of real estate, Randy stays active in the local community through service on the Library Board, Pine River Valley Rotary, and as a Durango Chamber of Commerce Diplomat. In his free time, he enjoys pickleball, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and taking advantage of the Southwest Colorado lifestyle he's called home for more than 30 years.
